EPOA works closely with our Senior Lead Officer from the LAPD West Valley Division, who provides regular crime updates at our monthly Community Meetings.
Our priority is to ensure neighborhoods experiencing crime get the resources they need, while also keeping residents informed and connected to those resources.

EPOA supports funding for housing and services to address homelessness. At the same time, we believe the City must prioritize protecting public safety and health.
Homelessness itself is not a crime — however, encampments on public streets and in our parks are unlawful and can create serious safety and health concerns for the community.

EPOA reviews applications for land use entitlements and proposed developments in Encino. For projects with significant impact on the community, we provide recommendations to City decisionmakers, including our City Councilmember.

Enforcement of Anti-Gridlock on Ventura Boulevard
EPOA urges the City to enforce anti-gridlock No Parking restrictions during peak hours on Ventura Boulevard. Currently, the Department of Transportation (DOT) is not citing violators or towing vehicles, which contributes to traffic backups.
Adding to the problem, the City itself is often the worst violator — repairs and other work are not supposed to begin on Ventura Boulevard before 9:00 AM, yet City officials continue to allow it. This must change.
